J. Scott Wood Successfully Defends Timber Trespass Claim

J. Scott Wood, Managing Partner of Foley & Mansfield’s Seattle Office, obtained a defense verdict on behalf of client Haugen Logging, Inc. after a one day bench trial in Pierce County, Washington.

In the matter of Charlene Holt v. Haugen Logging, Inc. , Plaintiff had alleged that the defendants’ logging crew had trespassed on her property and cut down her timber while harvesting an adjacent property.  After a full day of testimony from various witnesses and the review of admitted exhibits, the Judge ruled that Plaintiff had not proven that a timber trespass had occurred, and entered judgment for Foley & Mansfield client, Defendant Haugen Logging, Inc.
