Foley Mansfield Secures Summary Judgment for Municipality in New York Personal Injury Case

NEW YORK, May 13, 2025 — Foley Mansfield is pleased to announce that a team from the firm’s New York office has obtained summary judgment in favor of a municipality in a personal injury lawsuit. After hearing oral arguments, the Supreme Court of New York dismissed the complaint and all cross-claims against the municipality and issued a written decision finding that the municipality demonstrated that “they did not have prior written notice” of the defect Plaintiff alleged caused her physical injuries.

The case was handled by Partners Dennis E. Vega and Michael E. Tuttle.
