May 22, 2025News

5/22/25, Scott County, MO – Foley Mansfield, PLLP is elated to report that a team from the firm’s St. Louis and Edwardsville offices has obtained summary judgment in favor of a client in a personal injury lawsuit.

Following oral arguments, the Circuit Court of Scott County, Missouri dismissed the petition with prejudice and entered judgment in favor of the client. In its written decision, the Circuit Court determined that the client qualified as a statutory employer under the Missouri Workers’ Compensation Act, thereby shielding them from common law tort liability as sought in the motion for summary judgment.

This favorable outcome was secured through the efforts of Partners William Foote and Katie Pritchard and Attorney Kaylee Brown.
