Dustin Priebe

Dustin J. Priebe is an equity partner in Foley Mansfield’s Denver and Los Angeles offices. He is a civil trial attorney with over 15 years of diverse trial experience. He frequently litigates complex cases involving numerous parties, varied claims for relief, and insurance coverage overlay. Dustin has acted as the first-chair attorney in numerous multi-week trials and handled dozens of appeals. He has extensive experience with all facets of litigation and has successfully resolved disputes throughout the country. These matters have ranged from multi-party tort actions to commercial and contractual disputes. He has also postured countless cases for favorable resolution through settlement negotiations and concise motions practice in the trial court. Dustin relishes the challenge of difficult cases, especially those involving emerging areas of the law or that require argument on novel legal issues.

Speaking to his wide-ranging skill set, Dustin has obtained summary judgment recovering control of an operating business and the appointment of a receiver; successfully petitioned for and obtained extraordinary relief in the Colorado Supreme Court and the California Court of Appeal; successfully tried to verdict catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases involving vehicle accidents, premises liability, and toxic torts; set aside a default judgment entered against the manufacturer of a proprietary product and successfully defended against the underlying action; prevailed in the defense of a will contest action and obtained an award of fees; and obtained a preliminary injunction in a federal trade secrets action.

Dustin graduated with honors from the University of San Diego School of Law, after transferring from California Western School of Law. He received the highest grade in three of his classes, received a full academic scholarship during his final year, and also completed an externship with Justice Richard D. Huffman of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District. Dustin previously worked with boutique firm in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and was also an assistant U.S. Attorney with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California in San Diego, California.

A native of northern Wisconsin, Dustin and his family now call Colorado home. Dustin currently lives in Lone Tree, and has hiked numerous 14ers, coaches youth basketball, and enjoys golf whenever he can.
