Stephen L. Wilson is a Partner Emeritus in Foley Mansfield’s Minneapolis office. He practiced in the areas of commercial law, construction law, and toxic and mass tort. His thorough preparation and commitment to clients led to decades of successful outcomes in settlement negotiations, formal dispute resolution procedures, trials and appeals.
Steve has a strong commitment to academia and service. He was a Rhodes scholar at England’s Oxford University and a Phi Beta Kappa member at the University of South Dakota. He obtained his law degree from the University of Michigan. When he graduated from college, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U. S. Army. He served on active duty in 1973 at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. After six years in the Ready Reserve, he was honorably discharged with the rank of captain.
Steve retired from practice in 2013. Since retirement, he has published books on his father’s and his uncle’s military service (titled Answering the Call: With the 91st Infantry Division in the Italian Campaign During World War II (Third Edition) and Advising Chiang’s Army: An American Soldier’s World War II Experience in China). He is presently an adjunct professor in the History and Political Science Department at Concordia University-St. Paul.
