A seasoned litigator with a deep background in business and over 37 years of experience, Kyle Mansfield brings a wealth of insight to his role as Managing Partner of Foley Mansfield. Beyond overseeing the firm’s substantial asbestos defense practice which serves dozens of clients across the country, he maintains an extensive practice focused on the areas of toxic torts and mass litigation, product liability, environmental law, construction law, and general liability. He has successfully resolved thousands of asbestos cases for his clients, including trying cases to verdict in state and federal courts in both Minnesota and North Dakota.

Kyle has been national coordinating counsel for multiple clients, managing all aspects of litigation in defense of the company throughout the country. In addition to asbestos-related cases, his clients trust Kyle’s exceptional legal strategies and defense in cases involving construction defect, personal injury, and toxic poisoning. He brings his outstanding negotiating skills to his clients’ defense, directing the firm’s attorneys in seeking cost-effective resolution of client matters including making every effort to bring parties together and resolve claims before they evolve into expensive, time-consuming legal battles.

As a founding member and Managing Partner of Foley Mansfield, Kyle’s leadership and coordination efforts ensure that the firm’s clients receive the highest level of service at a cost-effective rate, driving the firm’s reputation as one of the nation’s top trial law firms. Currently, Kyle serves on Foley Mansfield’s Executive Committee, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and Compensation Committee, providing guidance and working collaboratively with other committee members to steer the firm in the right direction. His strong belief in meeting the needs of the community through service and charitable contributions led Kyle to found Foley Mansfield’s Pro Bono Practice Group, including dedicating an attorney to oversee the program. He remains heavily involved in the group’s efforts.

Outside of the firm, Kyle is a member of a variety of industry groups and organizations including the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, Defense Research Institute, and the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association.  He is a member of the state bar associations in each state where he is admitted to practice: Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. Additionally, Kyle is an active participant in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, Twin Cities Diversity in Practice, and Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule for Mid-size Firms.
