Tim defends companies of all sizes, from small, family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies, in all aspects of toxic tort-related litigation, primarily in asbestos but also in silica and benzyne exposure matters. In addition, he represents companies in commercial litigation, subrogation, and creditor’s rights. He has product liability experience with products including air compressors, grinding wheels, and shot blast equipment. He also handles Missouri and Illinois business formation.

Tim’s asbestos, silica and benzyne clients include manufacturers, distributors, retailers, premise owners, employers, and contractors. He is well-versed in all aspects of the litigation process including motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.

Companies seek Tim’s assistance in the defense of toxic tort matters in State and Federal courts, including those courts deemed “Judicial Hellholes.”  He aggressively defends his clients, but also seeks practical and cost-effective resolutions when appropriate.  Tim is approachable and can guide clients through complex litigation by explaining the process in easy-to-understand terms so they can feel confident leaving the litigation in his hands while they focus on running their business.

He also assists companies in commercial litigation, subrogation, and creditor’s rights.  Tim has experience in helping companies pursue their own claims against other companies or individuals.

Outside the courtroom, Tim assists in the formation of business entities in Missouri and Illinois, from an S Corporation to a Limited Liability Corporation.  He takes pride in helping new companies succeed.

Before joining Foley Mansfield, Tim worked as a litigation attorney in the St. Louis office of a regional law firm. Earlier in his career, he worked in a Plaintiff’s firm handling commercial and construction matters, along with subrogation and creditor’s rights.

Tim has handled thousands of toxic tort matters over the years, from start to finish, in some of the most difficult jurisdictions in the country.  Tim successfully represents a myriad of clients:  manufacturers, distributors, retailers, premise owners, employers, and contractors.

Tim has taken hundreds of fact and expert depositions in toxic tort ligation; he has seen it all.

Tim also has first-chair experience in non-toxic tort matters, having tried several bench matters and a breach of contract jury trial.
