Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Foley Mansfield

We believe a diverse and inclusive workplace brings different perspectives, yielding more creativity and better results for our clients and our Firm. We will ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion will permeate through every aspect of the Firm for both lawyers and non-lawyers alike, strategically focused on recruitment, retention, equitable advancement, and learning and development.

FM incorporated diversity and inclusion into who we are as an organization and how we want to do business. Our Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Director of Diversity and Inclusion work closely with leadership and key stakeholders to carry out our DEI plan and priorities which helps keep the needle moving forward. We continue to implement impactful firmwide DEI policies and programs, as well as innovative DEI initiatives, that foster a culture of respect and belonging.

Our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Fact Sheet includes the percentage of women attorneys at the firm, percentage of women attorneys in key roles, a list of diversity & inclusion programs and strategic initiatives, and demographics of our attorneys. Foley Mansfield is proud of building a culture that supports and elevates women and diverse attorneys and professional support staff.

The FM Supplier Diversity Program

As part of Foley Mansfield’s efforts to ensure that diversity and inclusion permeate through every aspect of the Firm for both lawyers and non-lawyers alike, we have created the Supplier Diversity Program, with the goal of allowing us to consider diverse suppliers whenever possible.

FM DEI Milestones

Foley Mansfield participates in Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule Certification for Mid-Sized Firms, achieving Certification Plus status for 2023, is an active member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and recipient of the organization’s Compass Award in 2022 and 2023, and implemented a number of impactful programs to create an inclusive culture and sense of belonging, including a women’s network, mentorship program, associate advisory group, and ally symbol and guidelines.

To facilitate charitable works outside of the firm, the Foley & Mansfield Charitable Foundation was established in 2009. The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
