Tom Lallier is a partner in the Minneapolis office of Foley & Mansfield in the firm's Creditor's Rights group. He focuses his practice on creditor's rights in business reorganization and banking law.

Tom represents financial institutions in commercial loans transactions and restructuring of troubled loans. He has represented a variety of asset-based lenders and equipment lenders in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. He has served as counsel for the General Electric Capital Corporation, CitiCapital Commercial Corporation, BMO Bank and Marquette Transportation Finance throughout the United States, and also represents many other financial institutions in the State of Minnesota in both commercial and consumer regulatory and compliance issues.

In addition to advising banks on consumer loan and consumer lending compliance issues, Tom advises lenders in the area of ATM regulatory issues and electronic funds transfers.

Tom has also worked with numerous purchasers of various companies and assets from Chapter 11 debtors.  He has also worked with bankruptcy trustees, creditor committees and trade groups in a variety of cases both in Chapter 11 proceedings and out of court workouts. 

He was lead counsel for CitiCapital Commercial Corporation in the Dick Simon Trucking Company reorganization case obtaining a full recovery to the client and a successful new exit financing loan to the successful bidder for the assets of the company of more than $20,000,000.00.

Tom was co-counsel for the Unsecured Creditors Committee in the Mesaba Airline case which resulted in a 100% recovery of over $100 million to unsecured creditors in the case.

He represented General Motors Acceptance Corporation in the In re Green case, an appeal which successfully established the highest valuation applicable to motor vehicles in Chapter 13 cases throughout the country.

We provide damage control for bad loans in order to maximize the monetary recovery for our clients as quickly and efficiently as possible.
