John Bornhofen

John Bornhofen is a partner in the St. Louis office of Foley Mansfield, where he practices in toxic tort and mass litigation with a focus on asbestos personal injury.

John practices in the City of St. Louis, in Madison and St. Clair counties in Illinois, and the surrounding area, including the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.

Clients include product manufacturers, product distributors, premises owners and service contractors who are sued by plaintiffs alleging asbestos exposure. Since 2004, he has defended all facets of such cases from inception up to trial. Clients rely on John to resolve claims by, for example, convincing the court that the claim should have been filed elsewhere, by establishing outright lack of liability, and, in those cases where dismissal is not possible, by negotiating an expeditious and favorable settlement.

Earlier in his career, John worked as a legislative aide to U.S. Senator Dale Bumpers in Washington, D.C.
