Jazz Hampton is an attorney in the Minneapolis office of Foley & Mansfield. He focuses his practice in the areas of toxic/mass tort, product liability and commercial litigation.
Prior to practice, Jazz clerked with the contracts department at 3M, as well as the Anoka County and Ramsey County Public Defender’s Offices. Throughout law school, he worked in the Community Justice Project legal Clinic, providing at risk youth with legal services, case management, and general support. Jazz also completed an Externship Program with Hennepin County Judge Holton Dimick.
Jazz serves as co-chair of the firm’s national Diversity Committee, which is responsible for implementation of the Mansfield Rule 2.0 and other initiatives designed to enhance firm wide diversity and inclusion.
In his free time Jazz enjoys developing mobile applications and coaching youth football and basketball.

At the end of last month, 3M Co. settled a lawsuit with Minnesota’s Attorney General Lori Swanson for $850 million, putting an end to eight years of litigation over a chemical that was allegedly released into the state’s water.
