Elizabeth J. Carpenter is a litigator in Foley & Mansfield’s Los Angeles office, where she practices in the areas of general litigation, including product liability, commercial litigation and elder law.  Elizabeth is experienced in all facets of the litigation process, including researching complex legal issues, drafting pleadings and motions, and conducting examination of lay and expert witnesses.

Prior to joining the firm, Elizabeth litigated numerous child abuse and neglect cases in the Kings County Family Court on behalf of the City of New York. During law school, she clerked in the general counsel offices of various federal agencies, including the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the United States Customs and Border Protection.


Former Coordinator and Student Advocate of Hofstra's Courtroom Advocates Project: Advocated on behalf of domestic violence victims seeking temporary orders of protection and child custody.
