Clayton Dennert

BIOGRAPHY

Clayton Dennert is Of Counsel in Foley Mansfield's St. Louis office. He defends companies large and small in all facets of asbestos-related toxic tort litigation. His ability to think outside of the box and years of experience in this field allow him to build effective strategies to get the best outcome for his clients. Insurance providers seek Clayton’s service in defending against all manner of asbestos-related toxic tort actions brought against their clients. When not attending depositions, Clayton drafts motions, answers complex discovery, and assists with all aspects of case resolution. Throughout his time in this litigation, he has built many favorable relationships with opposing counsel through regular interaction and correspondence.

Before joining Foley Mansfield, Clayton worked for another asbestos-focused defense firm, where he regularly assisted in fact investigation, creating case defense strategies, and trial preparation. Earlier in his career, Clayton worked in general practice largely focusing on the defense of public entities including municipalities, counties, and school boards in the Southern Illinois area. He served as a part of a team that successfully defended several clients against allegations of negligence and civil rights violations through motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment.
