Carla Storm



Carla Storm is a partner in Foley Mansfield’s Edwardsville office. She focuses her practice on personal injury, products liability and premises liability, with an emphasis on the defense of toxic tort cases. She has represented clients including individuals, equipment and product manufacturers, premises owners and contractors. She also has represented plaintiffs in personal injury and automobile negligence actions. Carla has first-chair jury trial experience in civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts, and practices in both Illinois and Missouri.

Prior to joining Foley Mansfield, Carla represented and counseled self-insured corporations and insurance companies in the defense of Illinois and Missouri Workers’ Compensation claims. Carla is a 2003 graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law, where she received a Dean’s Scholarship. She also served as Vice President for the University’s Women Law Students’ Association. Her law education includes study abroad at Widener University/University of Venice in Venice, Italy. Also while in law school, Carla interned at the University’s Civil Advocacy Clinic, where she represented indigent clients in matters ranging from paternity issues to ordinance violations, and served as guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children.

Carla is actively involved in the firm’s mentoring committee, serving as one of the founding members of the committee, and mentoring numerous attorneys in their professional and personal growth. She also is a member of the firm’s diversity committee, helping to further the firm’s goal of developing a diverse and inclusive culture. Carla regularly presents on continuing legal education topics within the firm, on topics ranging from managing asbestos dockets to ensuring Medicare compliance in settlements.


Attained an order granting dismissal of her client, a product manufacturer, on the basis of personal jurisdiction in the Third Judicial Circuit Court, Madison County, Illinois; Won summary judgment for her clients, an equipment defendant and a premises defendant, in the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court, Peoria County, Illinois; Won a verdict of $950,000.00 in the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri for her client, an injured motorcycle passenger.
