Stephen Vedova is a Chicago-based partner at Foley Mansfield and a go-to advisor for companies facing complex litigation and cross-border challenges. With over 25 years of experience in professional liability, insurance defense, product liability, construction, and high-stakes commercial disputes, Stephen helps clients navigate risks in courtrooms and boardrooms alike.

Fluent in Italian and a first-generation American, Stephen brings a global perspective to his practice. He regularly travels throughout Europe, Asia, and Australia to counsel businesses, train executives, and speak on litigation strategy, risk management, and international legal trends. His client list spans industries and continents—aviation manufacturers, Italian consulting firms, the World Food Organization, amusement parks, food and beverage companies, elevator and trucking enterprises, insurance carriers, and major hospital systems.

Stephen’s international experience includes serving as a consultant in the Amanda Knox murder trial and being commissioned by the United Nations’ World Bank to co-draft proposed UCC legislation for the Republic of Belarus.

At home and abroad, Stephen combines deep trial experience with a strategic, big-picture approach—helping clients stay ahead in an increasingly borderless world.

While earning Dean’s List honors at DePaul University College of Law, he also skated for the DePaul hockey team.
