REV:
Lucia Golletti, an Attorney in Foley Mansfield’s Miami office, focuses her practice on insurance defense and toxic and mass tort litigation, with particular emphasis on asbestos, silica, and talcum powder matters.
Prior to joining Foley Mansfield, Lucia served as an Assistant Public Defender in Florida’s Eighth Judicial Circuit, where she carried a high-volume caseload of more than 100 criminal traffic and misdemeanor matters at any given time, including assault, battery, and stalking offenses. She has sat first- and second-chair in numerous jury trials, including felony trials, argued dozens of contested motion hearings, and assisted in capital litigation matters, developing a formidable courtroom presence and trial-tested advocacy skills.
During law school, Lucia served as a legal extern with the Department of Defense’s Military Commissions Defense Organization, in Washington, D.C., where she worked on complex constitutional and national security matters. Her work included researching and drafting memoranda on issues such as the application of the Sixth Amendment to military commissions and FBI operations, and contributing to filings before the District of Columbia Circuit and the International Criminal Court. She also served as a legal intern with the Children and Youth Law Clinic at the University of Miami School of Law, advocating on behalf of foster youth.
