Junira Castillo is an Associate Attorney in Foley Mansfield’s Chicago office. She focuses her practice on insurance defense, toxic tort and mass tort litigation, with an emphasis on asbestos defense, talc litigation, and general liability matters. She represents product manufacturers, premises owners, transportation companies, and contractors in complex, multi-party litigation.

Prior to joining Foley Mansfield, Junira served as a litigation attorney at CNA Insurance, where she defended employers and insurance carriers in disputed death claims, permanent total disability claims, toxic exposure cases, and complex injury matters. She manages every stage of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, written discovery, fact and expert depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, trial, and post-trial proceedings. Clients value her strategic approach, practical guidance, and commitment to achieving effective results in high-stakes litigation.

Junira attended Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Loyola University in Chicago and The Jonh Marshall Law School. Junira has been in private practice since 2016, after having served as a law clerk to Justice Jesse G. Reyes of the Illinois Appellate Court.

Outside the office, Junira is passionate about traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
