Jamie Bliss is an attorney in Foley Mansfield’s Tampa office, where she focuses her practice on construction defect, liability and insurance defense. She is an experienced litigator with a comprehensive background in complex civil litigation, including construction defect, insurance defense, and general liability matters.

Mrs. Bliss has significant experience preparing cases for trial in complex disputes. She develops case strategy in collaboration with experts and industry professionals, prepares and argues dispositive and evidentiary motions, drafts motions in limine, prepares pretrial stipulations and jury instructions, and assists in arbitration and mediation proceedings. Her work frequently involves coordinating technical expert testimony, analyzing contractual risk and indemnity issues, and positioning cases for favorable resolution or trial presentation. Her prior plaintiff-side experience representing homeowners and businesses in large-loss first-party property matters provides valuable insight into claimant strategy and enhances her ability to anticipate and effectively defend against complex claims.

Earlier in her career, Mrs. Bliss handled a high-volume veterans’ benefits appellate practice, successfully briefing matters before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the Board of Veterans’ Appeals.

Mrs. Bliss earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Entrepreneurship, from the University of Florida. She has been active in the legal community, serving as Former President of the Young Lawyers Section of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and as Former Secretary of Tampa Bay Waterkeeper.

Outside of her practice in law, Mrs. Bliss enjoys traveling, photography and art.
