The national defense firm of Foley & Mansfield is pleased to announce that Timothy J. Ferguson has re-joined the Firm as a partner in its Miami office after spending nearly two years on the trial team at Fowler White Burnett. Ferguson focuses his practice in the defense of complex liability matters including products, toxic tort, construction, premises, personal injury, and medical malpractice.

Ferguson originally joined Foley & Mansfield in January of 2010, and was named to its partnership in January of 2012. He returns as the Firm continues to expand capabilities in both its Miami office and recently established Tampa Bay office. The Firm currently has 16 offices across the country.

“Foley & Mansfield is a unique firm, offering opportunities at both a local and national level that are difficult to match,” said Ferguson. “I am thrilled to again be part of this nationally recognized toxic tort trial team,” he added.

Ferguson has successfully defended various liability claims for some of the world’s largest product, equipment and chemical manufacturers. He has successfully defended claims alleging exposure to asbestos, benzene, radiation, chemical release, and mold. In the construction arena, he has successfully represented and defended construction defect litigation claims on behalf of architects, mechanical engineers, and various subcontracting trades in both residential/condominium buildings and commercial buildings, including cases involving multi-level post tension structures.

Ferguson serves as a Board Member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of South Florida and as a Faculty Advisor Board Member of the Nova Southeastern University Paralegal Program. He has previously served as Vice Chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee (17th Judicial Circuit), and as an investigative Member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee.

He received his Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York in Stony Brook.
