Munk Re-Appointed to 5th Term as Vice Chair of ABA Superfund and Natural Resource Damages Litigation Committee

Foley & Mansfield is pleased to announce that Ilene M. Munk has received another appointment by the American Bar Association as Vice Chair for the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER) Superfund and Natural Resource Damages Litigation Committee for the 2019–2020 ABA year. This is her fifth consecutive appointment to serve the American Bar Association in this leadership role.

As Vice Chair, Ms. Munk will spearhead the development of programs related to new developments in Superfund and Natural Resource Damage litigation, providing outreach and education to ABA members and affiliates nationwide.  Earlier this year Ilene Munk co-chaired a Master’s Class on Complex Environmental Liability Resolution; From CERCLA to Brownfields for 200 of the nation’s leading environmental practitioners. Her fifth term began this month during the ABA Annual Meeting, and will continue through August 1, 2020.

Ms. Munk is an experienced environmental defense attorney with a national Superfund and environmental regulatory practice handling contaminated property matters including emerging contaminants such as PFAS. A former EPA enforcement attorney,  Munk also co-chairs Foley & Mansfield’s national environmental practice group. She may be reached at imunk@foleymansfield.com.
