Munk to present at SEIP 4th Annual Environmental Insurance Forum

Foley & Mansfield is pleased to announce that Ilene M. Munk will be presenting at The Society of Environmental Insurance Professionals (SEIP) 4TH Annual Environmental Insurance Forum on October 8, 2019 in Boston.

Munk will present on “Persistent Claims and Coverage Issues” with panelists MariKay Fish, AIG, and Paul Scian,  Great American, Insurance. The panel, moderated by Catherine N. Pierce, Senior Vice-President of VERTEX, will cover Bona-fide Prospective Purchaser protections in property acquisitions; PFAS claims – including state regulatory actions, anticipated federal action and implications for Superfund sites; and the quest for certainty and consistency in environmental law and regulation. Ms. Munk will address these issues from her perspective as a both a current defense and former EPA attorney.

Ilene Munk is the managing partner of the Portland office of Foley & Mansfield and leads the firm’s national environmental practice group.  Ilene is an experienced environmental defense attorney with nearly 30 years of experience in Superfund and contaminated property matters. Her experience includes hazardous substance release investigation, allocation, remediation and Brownfields redevelopment.
