Michigan Department of Education-Violation of IDEA and “Child Find”

Greg successfully defended an administrative charge filed by a parent against a Detroit Charter school for allegedly violating IDEA and “Child Find.”  It was alleged that the School failed to provide special education services to the child.  The charge was dismissed by the Administrative Law Judge finding that the school had complied with IDEA and “Child Find” and that any deficiencies were the result of the parents failure to participate in scheduled IEPs and related programs.
