Also recognized posthumously is former colleague and friend Beranton J. Whisenant, Jr., honored as a 2017 Rising Star in the area of Personal Injury Defense-Products. Among his numerous professional accomplishments and peer recognition, Whisenant, Jr. was first named to the Rising Star list in 2009.

The Miami office of Foley & Mansfield, repeatedly named among Florida’s “Best Places to Work” provides a broad range of complex litigation defense services to regional and national companies in areas including construction, employment, environmental, medical malpractice, personal injury, professional liability, product liability, securities, and transportation.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a rigorous multi-phased process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. Rising Stars follows a similar process to recognize up-and-coming attorneys who are age 40 or younger, or who have been in practice for 10 years or less.
