Lisa Lamm Bachman Named North Star Lawyer for Pro Bono Work

Lisa Lamm Bachman, a partner in Foley & Mansfield’s Minneapolis office, has been recognized as a North Star Attorney by the Minnesota State Bar Association for donating her time and talent to providing pro bono legal services to low-income persons. Lisa’s pro bono initiatives include extensive work with the Twin Cities Tubman Safety Project, where she represented clients in connection with their petition for an Order for Protection and related temporary relief, including child custody, parenting time and child support issues; and ongoing work as a volunteer attorney with the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota, where she currently represents clients in review hearings related to their foster care placement.

The North Star list highlights MSBA member attorneys who provide 50 hours or more of legal services in a calendar year to low income people at no fee – and without expectation of fee.

Foley & Mansfield’s national Pro Bono Practice has provided thousands of hours of free legal services ranging from resolving rental disputes to advocating for children in foster care.  In honor of the firm’s 25th anniversary year, it has expanded its pro bono program including participation as a signatory to the Pro Bono Institute’s Law Firm Pro Bono Challenge®.
