Foley & Mansfield Stands with Asian Communities Everywhere

March 25, 2021News

Foley & Mansfield strongly condemns all acts of hate, bias and xenophobia directed at the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. We remain committed to championing racial justice and equity, and to taking a stand against racial intolerance.

We are mourning the loss of the eight individuals who lost their lives to gun violence in Georgia last week and condemn all recent attacks on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders across the nation. Since the start of the pandemic, anti-Asian hate crimes have risen nearly 150%, with 3,800 total incidents being reported between March 2020 and February 2021. Asian-American women, and the elderly and vulnerable, are being disproportionately targeted. Search “Stop AAPI Hate National Report 3/19/20-2/28/21” in your internet browser to view the full report. We care strongly about this issue and know that it is difficult to process these terrible events.

The Foley & Mansfield community unequivocally condemns these attacks. As advocates for justice, we have a responsibility to advance racial justice and equality, and will continue to actively support all communities affected by racism through our diversity, equity and inclusion work and through our pro bono work.
