September 10, 2018News

The national law firm of Foley & Mansfield today announced that it has opened an office in New Orleans, Louisiana to accommodate regional and national clients in the areas of toxic tort, product liability, environmental, and transportation litigation, among others.

The office will be led by partner Kay Baxter, a widely acknowledged legal authority and experienced litigator who has served as national trial counsel for several Fortune 500 companies. Among her many accomplishments, Kay handled the first Chinese drywall claim accepted for defense by one of the largest insurers in the United States.

In addition to Louisiana, Kay is licensed to practice in Arkansas, Mississippi and Texas. She is active in leading defense organizations and in her community.

This is the latest expansion of the Minneapolis-based firm, and the firm’s first office in the state of Louisiana. “Under Kay’s leadership, we are in an ideal position to provide top-tier defense services to clients throughout the region and establish a solid footprint in the south central United States,” says Kyle Mansfield, founding partner.

“I am delighted to join Foley & Mansfield and be part of such an exceptional defense team,” adds Baxter.

The office is located at 650 Poydras Street, Suite 2450, New Orleans, LA 70130, and the main phone number is 504-302-4800.
