Foley & Mansfield Names New Minneapolis Partner, Hires Two Additional Litigators

January 17, 2018News

Foley & Mansfield today announced that Elizabeth M. Sorenson Brotten has re-joined the firm as a partner in its Minneapolis product liability and toxic/mass tort groups.

Liz is an alumni of Foley & Mansfield, having previously been with the firm from 2007-2014. Most recently, she was a partner at a local civil litigation firm. Liz was again elected to the Foley & Mansfield partnership in January 2018.

Liz devotes her practice to defending product manufacturers, suppliers, and installers in high-risk product liability and toxic tort cases. Her experience includes serving as national coordinating counsel for a roofing, siding, and insulation contractor in the defense of asbestos claims pending throughout the country and defending one of the largest product liability lawsuits in North Dakota history following a catastrophic train derailment. Liz has tried cases to verdict in both Minnesota and North Dakota courts.

In addition to Brotten, two additional attorneys have joined the firm’s Minneapolis team. Racheal R. Presler, previously practicing with a St. Cloud, MN litigation firm, has joined the Foley & Mansfield’s commercial litigation group, where she will focus on the defense of clients in construction defect and employment disputes. In addition, Jamae A. Pennings has joined the firm’s product liability and toxic/mass tort groups. She previously practiced with a boutique litigation firm in Western Wisconsin.
