Foley & Mansfield Earns Diversity Recognition Mansfield Rule Certification

September 21, 2020Recognition

Diversity Lab announced last week that Foley & Mansfield attained Mansfield Certification for the second consecutive year. The Mansfield Rule is a pioneering initiative that helps law firms diversify candidate pools for significant leadership positions and measures whether law firms have reached certain benchmarks for considering underrepresented lawyers.

This year, Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule 3.0 measured whether law firms considered at least 30% women, lawyers of color, LGBTQ+ lawyers and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities and senior lateral positions.

“Our Firm recognizes that our strength, in part, comes from the varied perspectives of a diverse group of attorneys and staff,” said Kyle Mansfield, managing partner of Foley & Mansfield. “We are aggressively working to ensure that our Firm represents the broader community and fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace that enables everyone at the firm to thrive.”

“The Certification status from Diversity Lab is a benchmark acknowledgement of our ongoing efforts to build and standardize diversity and inclusion throughout the Firm,” says Attorney and Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Jazz Hampton, who spearheaded the implementation of the Mansfield Rule and is leading the Firm in its aggressive effort to benchmark solid and stable growth in every area of inclusion.
