Foley Mansfield Announces the Retirement of Partner Kevin O’Connor and Elevates Timothy Ferguson as Managing Partner and Kelly Casey as Chair of the Medical Malpractice Group

It is with great appreciation and respect that Foley Mansfield announces the retirement of our good friend and valued partner, Kevin O’Connor, effective October 28, 2022.

Because of his outstanding legal service to our clients and mentorship to the attorneys in our Miami office, we are confident that our team in Miami will continue on in a seamless fashion with Timothy Ferguson leading the office and Kelly Casey stepping in as chair of the firm’s medical malpractice group.”

Kevin spent over 46 years litigating professional liability claims, in which he represented healthcare providers. He has served as managing partner of the Miami office and as Chair of the Medical Malpractice Division.

Timothy Ferguson will assume the role as managing partner of Foley Mansfield’s Miami office. Tim heads the toxic tort and products liability team in Miami and has more than 20 years of successful litigation experience defending toxic exposure claims and construction defect matters. He also serves as treasurer of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of South Florida.

Kelly Casey will lead the firm’s Medical Malpractice Division in Miami. She has focused her legal practice in professional liability and medical malpractice, handling all claims on behalf of healthcare providers including hospitals, physicians, midlevels and nurses.
