Foley & Mansfield announced the addition of Shelley Napolitano as a litigation partner in its New Orleans office. Her practice is focused in the areas of asbestos and talc litigation and she will be a member of the firm’s Toxic Tort, Environmental, and Product Liability Practice Groups.

Shelley joins Foley & Mansfield after primarily representing premise owners, suppliers, and various equipment and product manufacturers in traditional asbestos litigation as well as product manufacturers and suppliers in talc litigation. She also has experience managing a varied personal injury docket, defending insurers and a range of Louisiana companies in products, premise liability, maritime, and other injury cases.

Kyle Mansfield, managing partner at Foley & Mansfield commented:

“Shelley has broad experience in the Louisiana state and federal courts and has a particular expertise in asbestos and talc litigation that complements our existing national litigation practice offerings. We are excited that she is bringing her talents to Foley & Mansfield. She is well known in the Louisiana legal circuit, and we have no doubt that she will be a great addition to continue to service that market as well as our broader client teams.”

In addition to her experience managing day-to-day aspects of litigation, Shelley has also served as regional deposition counsel and performed a lead role in conducting large scale corporate history investigation projects for use in nationwide litigation.

She is actively involved in the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and serves as the Young Lawyers Committee’s Activities Vice Chair and has formerly chaired the Marketing, Publications, and Newsletter Subcommittees. Shelley was also the first Young Lawyer appointed to serve as the Chair of the DRI Publications Board.
