Foley & Mansfield is pleased to announce that partner Elizabeth “Liz” Sorenson Brotten was named to the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA) for a two-year term commencing August, 2018.

A MDLA member since 2013, she currently serves as co-chair of the MDLA Women in Law and Product Liability committees, and recently presented at MDLA’s Trial Techniques Seminars.

Liz devotes her practice to defending product manufacturers, suppliers, and installers in high-risk product liability and toxic tort cases. Nationally, she serves on the DRI Toxic Tort and Environmental Law and Women in the Law steering committees and has presented on topics including asbestos and talc liability.

Brotten also received the 2018 President’s Award in recognition of her service to the organization through her work co-founding and leading MDLA’s Women in the Law Committee.
