We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Kansas City team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of legal assistant experience, with a background in Products Liability and/or General Liability Litigation. This position can be hybrid if desired, up to 3 days per week remote.

Responsibilities:

Managing Office and Attorney Calendars:

  • Enter appointments and case deadlines into calendaring software (Docket Enterprise)
  • Ensure all deadlines are met

Daily Case Reporting:

  • Maintain and send daily case reports
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records

E-Filing:

  • File legal documents electronically with courts and other external bodies
  • Ensure compliance with all filing requirements

Data Entry:

  • Accurate and efficient data entry to support legal processes
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date databases

Expense Management:

  • Submit attorney expenses in a timely manner
  • Process vendor and office invoices

Meeting Preparation:

  • Assist in preparing materials for depositions, hearings, and other meetings
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is in order

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years legal assistant experience
  • Background in Product Liability and/or General Liability Litigation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications
  • Must be able to think critically and independently tackle new challenges
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
