Sandy Liu, a partner in the Walnut Creek office of Foley & Mansfield, focuses her practice in the area of toxic tort and mass litigation. She represents retail distributors, raw materials suppliers, general and sub-contractors, equipment, product manufacturers, retail outlets, and mining defendants.
The bulk of her representation is in California, however, she also assists in the coordination of litigation and strategy on a national level for several clients. Sandy has served as second chair on a number of trials including argument of motions in limine, jury selection and preparation of lay and expert trial testimony. She also has significant experience in the coordination and leadership of trial teams and complex document review projects. She regularly provides in-house training and mentoring to junior associates.
Sandy has handled a variety of construction litigation matters which include tenders to the subcontractor and general contractor, coordination of document repository, discovery issues, expert depositions, and handling mediations. She has represented general and subcontractors on residential and commercial projects on issues relating to water intrusion, landscaping, and EIFS.
Sandy’s experience also includes defense of claims related to construction-related injuries, slip and falls, and automobile accidents. Her experience in these areas include all aspects of litigation from including discovery motions, depositions, mediations and arbitrations.
