BIOGRAPHY

Robert D. Tobey, Jr. is Of Counsel in the Los Angeles and Oakland offices of Foley & Mansfield. Robert focuses his practice in the defense of trucking claims and complex and catastrophic asbestos and related toxic tort and product liability claims. Robert manages all aspects of litigation, from initial case evaluation through settlement or trial, collaborating closely with clients to ensure appropriate, cost-effective resolutions.

In his 20 years of practice, Robert has represented a wide range of manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors, defending matters relating to premises liability, construction defect, environmental, general liability and trucking accidents.

Robert has been serving trucking companies for years, and as part of 24-hour Response Teams, he is on location within hours of the accident to ensure the interests of the company and drivers are protected, collect evidence and information, document the scene, and coordinate services of Accident Reconstruction experts.

Prior to private practice, Robert served as an Assistant City Attorney for the Flagstaff, Arizona Attorney’s Office, and as a Deputy County Attorney for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in Phoenix.
