Rob Diehl is a partner in Foley & Mansfield's Minneapolis office. Rob has nearly 30 years of experience providing advice to businesses of all sizes, protecting and defending the commercial interests of those he represents. His clients include fledgling start-up companies, closely-held businesses and established publicly traded companies. Rob’s practice has evolved from one focused on products liability litigation, complex commercial litigation and general business matters to a practice primarily focused on business counseling and corporate matters, while retaining some litigation responsibilities. Rob’s broad experience is an exceptional value for businesses and business owners.
Rob works closely with a team of experienced attorneys in the firm’s business and corporate law group to provide thoughtful guidance on a wide variety of transactional and litigation matters, helping clients build a solid corporate framework and advance their business interests. He oversees the development of strategies aimed at achieving successful outcomes for a wide range of commercial matters, including investment strategies, private placements, reorganizations, restructurings, executive employment matters, and equity holder relationships.
From decades of experience litigating complex “bet the company” cases, Rob is adept at analyzing the risk/reward factors inherent in transactional and corporate governance decisions. He has advised clients on strategic business matters and investment opportunities in the U.S. and abroad, successfully defended corporations in courtrooms across the country, and negotiated numerous agreements and settlements. This cross-disciplinary practice experience makes him particularly adept at representing clients with a keen eye towards the practical outcome of legal and business decisions. Rob’s broad experience enables him to spot potential issues and advise how to avoid them.
