Kasia Kaczmarczyk, an attorney in Foley & Mansfield’s Chicago office, focuses her practice in toxic tort/mass tort and product liability litigation, specifically asbestos defense.
Kasia began her legal career with the Cook County, Illinois State’s Attorney’s Office. As a former prosecutor, Kasia handled more than 400 trials and hearings, including bench and jury trials, including case management responsibilities for high volume felony and misdemeanor cases. While assigned to the Office’s civil division, Kasia represented the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services in matters involving enforcement of child support and divorce related orders. Previously, she served as a victim witness specialist, preparing Polish-speaking victims and witnesses to testify in criminal trials throughout Cook County.
In law school, Kasia served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ronald F. Bartkowicz (Commercial Calendar) where she conducted legal research and drafted orders and court opinions in commercial litigation and medical malpractice disputes, including breach of contract in construction cases, personal injury and medical malpractice matters. Kasia’s experience also includes drafting wills, trusts and powers of attorney.
Kasia is fluent in Polish.
