Diane C. Babbitt, Of Counsel in the Seattle and Portland offices of Foley & Mansfield, focuses her practice in personal injury and wrongful death matters involving product liability, general casualty, and asbestos exposure, in addition to defending contractors and developers in construction defect disputes.
Her commercial practice also includes insurance coverage issues including defense of bad faith and breach of contract claims.
Diane began her legal career in Seattle, Washington, defending individuals and corporations in a variety of employment, real estate, and securities matters. She then managed a land use and zoning firm in Phoenix, Arizona before returning to the Pacific Northwest.
In addition to the practice of law, Ms. Babbitt remains active as a community volunteer. Service highlights include serving as Co-Chair of the Landmark Donor Committee for the Bellevue Arts Museum during the community phase of a $23 million capital campaign, and coordinating the successful legal efforts undertaken to recoup the cleanup costs incurred during construction of the new museum to remove and dispose of contaminated soil caused by a prior owner of the property.
Her hobbies and interests include tennis, horseback riding, visiting Paris, spending time with her family and volunteering with Multnomah County Animal Services.
