Abby Rooney, Director of Human Resources for Foley & Mansfield, oversees national human resources operations for the firm. Abby has more than a decade of HR experience, and is skilled in all aspects of recruitment, talent management, employee relations, leadership and employee development, training, compensation, benefits, HRIS and workers’ compensation.
Abby has been involved in numerous firm-wide initiatives aimed at creating a progressive, dynamic workforce, including spearheading a staff development program to improve the consistency and efficiency of document production. An active member of the firm’s Diversity Committee, she is also charged with developing proactive recruitment practices to increase the diversity of firm professionals and staff nationwide.
When she joined Foley & Mansfield in 2006, Abby brought a professional background in accounting and international business to her role. She is a member of the Society For Human Resources Management and the Association of Legal Administrators, where she currently serves as President for the Minnesota Chapter. She holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute.
