Steve focuses his practice in the areas of construction law and litigation, general liability litigation, and insurance coverage. Steve handles complex defect and product claims involving builders, developers, manufacturers, and commercial businesses. He has successfully represented national, regional, and local home builders in a variety of claims involving construction defects, contract claims, and product liability disputes. Steve’s current practice includes the analysis and counseling of insurers and insureds in insurance coverage disputes, giving his clients additional expertise in litigated matters that involve complex issues related to self-insured and excess insurance matters.

Prior to joining Foley & Mansfield, Steve handled complex litigated claims for firms in Michigan and Minnesota. He brings his clients an extensive background in general liability trial work. Steve also served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Paul Nelson in the Eighth Judicial District of the State of Minnesota.
