Karl focuses his practice on all aspects of real-estate, banking and real-estate finance law. Working with clients such as banks, mortgage companies, developers, and buyers and sellers of property, Karl is a skilled draftsman and negotiator, making sure that his clients' agreements are structured correctly from the outset. He is well-versed in the intricacies of mortgage financing and secured lending, and can address clients’ needs from the initial agreements through closing and enforcement, if necessary. Karl has lectured on real-estate matters, environmental and lending issues, and financial-institutions law.
