Deborah focuses her practice in toxic tort and mass tort litigation, with emphasis on asbestos litigation. Before working on asbestos related cases, Deborah worked in the area of construction defect litigation. She spent two years defending various subcontractors in residential and commercial multi-unit structure cases. She represented clients at mediation and settlement conferences, managed discovery and pretrial preparation, and drafted pleadings, motions, and memoranda. Additionally, she worked at the Colorado Attorney General's office representing the Department of Corrections. While with the Attorney General’s office, she worked primarily on a large-scale prison construction defect case. She oversaw all discovery and pretrial preparations, established and managed a document database for tracking thousands of discovery documents, and conducted key research which resulted in the successful resolution in a denial of injunction request.

In addition, Deborah was a member of the Kilimanjaro Climb for the Cure team in 2000. The team climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
