Christine focuses her practice in the areas of toxic tort and mass tort litigation. Prior to joining Foley & Mansfield, Christine was an attorney at another San Francisco area law firm, where she defended numerous national corporations in product liability, premises liability, and toxic tort cases. Christine managed all aspects of discovery on hundreds of cases for two large international corporate clients, including handling all written discovery, corporate depositions, and discovery motions. She also managed all tenders of defense as to those clients as well. She has taken hundreds of plaintiff and percipient witness depositions, and has also defended numerous depositions of corporate representatives and witnesses. Christine has drafted, opposed, and successfully argued numerous motions, including motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, motions to vacate, motions for protective order, motions to compel, and demurrers. She gained extensive trial preparation experience in multi-million dollar actions, including the preparation and argument of pre-trial motions. Christine made frequent court appearances for case management, pre-trial conferences and trial. She has also appeared at numerous settlement conferences, resolving cases favorably.
While in law school Christine worked as a law clerk for the Alameda County Family Court Judges and Commissioners, mediating between parties appearing in court in pro per, and conducting workshops for pro pers in matters involving dissolution of marriage, paternity, and child custody and support. She also actively participated in mock trial, trial advocacy, and moot court competitions.
