Bob focuses his practice on toxic torts and mass tort litigation with an emphasis on asbestos-related cases. He has been involved in personal injury asbestos litigation for over 24 years  This extensive work in asbestos cases has resulted in successful long-term client relationships, including one in which he served as a client's national coordinating counsel for 12 years involving  more than 30,000 cases in 34 states.

In addition to the toxic tort work, Bob leads Foley & Mansfield’s Probate and Trust Litigation and Estate Planning and Administration Groups. Because of Bob's experience and outstanding reputation in probate litigation, the University of Missouri School of Law invited him to lecture at the Fratcher Symposium, an interactive, educational forum for experienced trusts and estates practitioners. Other areas of practice include construction defect litigation and commercial litigation.  The construction defect litigation ranges from commercial and hospital construction defect claims to multi-residential unit claims involving roofing and cladding issues.  The commercial litigation includes suits for an accounting, enforcement of restrictive covenant of employment matters,  discovery of asset cases, property damage cases, suits on notes, nuisance cases, replevin cases, rent and possession matters and breach of contract cases.

Bob has achieved the highest possible Martindale-Hubbell rating for the highest level of legal ability and adherence to professional standards of conduct, ethics, reliability and diligence.
