At Foley & Mansfield we are committed to meeting our clients’ needs through creative approaches to mediation and when necessary, being a formidable opponent in court. Beyond our dedication to professional excellence and meeting the needs of our clients, we also strongly believe in meeting needs through community service and charitable contributions. Foley & Mansfield has a longstanding history of volunteerism and charitable giving.
When opportunities arise to invest in the needs of the community, the members of our firm take action. Recently, Minnesota Chief Justice Kathleen Blatz called on all law firms to provide help to the community. In response to this, we established a formal pro bono practice area.
This department provides free legal services to low-income individuals and nonprofit agencies. Our attorneys and partners have devoted hundreds of hours to this effort.
For example, we have helped tenants keep roofs over their heads, resolved credit issues for destitute clients, improved foster children’s living conditions, helped parents formalize adoptions, represented death-row inmates, helped place defendants in treatment programs, mediated disputes for nonprofit agencies, and provided arbitration services for the Better Business Bureau, among many other efforts.
