Jana Berger Receives Accolades as Guest Speaker at Northern Michigan University

Jana Berger, a Partner in Foley & Mansfield’s Detroit office, recently was welcomed by Northern Michigan University students to speak on the legal profession. Berger, a ’93 graduate of NMU who earned her degree in Pre-Law / Political Science, spoke to an audience of students at Jamrich Hall in Marquette, Michigan. The topics she covered ranged from sitting for bar exams, to the “day-in” and “day-out” demands of the legal profession, to preparing for trial. Berger commented: “I was absolutely thrilled to speak to these students. I genuinely enjoy my work – challenges and all.” Steven Nelson, J.D., Ph.D, Professor in the University’s Political Science Department, gave Berger accolades: “Bravo! The students were impressed and inspired. You have a great attitude and you seem to have found your passion – a too rare combination in the legal profession.”
