Jamie Habeck,
David Scouton and
Amy Sieben have been named to the 2010 Rising Stars list compiled by Minnesota Law & Politics. No more than 2.5% of the lawyers in a state are named to the Rising Stars list, which is comprised of up-and-coming Minnesota attorneys under the age of 40, having practiced fewer than 10 years.
Jamie Habeck is a three-time rising star and was named an Up and Coming Attorney by Minnesota Lawyer in 2009. Jamie focuses her practice in the area of litigation with a focus on complex litigation, including toxic torts, product liability, commercial litigation and class actions. Jamie oversees the nationwide litigation for a large manufacturing company, working on a team that serves as the manufacturer’s national coordinating counsel. She also handles various commercial litigation matters for individuals and businesses. She is a member of the Minnesota State and Hennepin County Bar Associations, and the Defense Research Institute.
David Scouton has been on the Rising Stars list for five consecutive years. He focuses his practice in the areas of products liability, construction defect, and toxic tort litigation with a special emphasis on asbestos cases. He has experience representing numerous manufacturers, contractors, and distributors in several states in a variety of product liability cases involving asbestos, construction, and building materials. Scouton is a qualified civil neutral mediator and arbitrator under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice. He is a member of the Minnesota State and Hennepin County Bar Associations, and the Defense Research Institute.
This is Amy Sieben’s fourth consecutive year on the Rising Stars list. Amy was named an Up and Coming Attorney by Minnesota Lawyer in 2007. Sieben focuses her practice on construction law and dedicates the majority of her practice to representing general contractors. She is a qualified civil neutral mediator and arbitrator under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice. Sieben has served as the Construction Law liaison to the New Lawyers Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association and a Co-Chair of the MDLA Construction Law Committee. She is an active member of the American, Minnesota and Hennepin County Bar Associations, the American Constitution Society, the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Builders Association of the Twin Cities, the Minnesota Women Lawyers Association, and the Volunteer Lawyers Network.
