Szerlag Wins Summary Judgment

David J. Szerlag obtained summary judgment in favor of our client, a large bulk filler of propane gas cylinders, in a property damage case arising out of an explosion and fire that occurred on February 27, 2006 in Lubbock, Texas. The plaintiffs, multiple parties, are seeking property damages in excess of $3,000,000 as well as punitive damages. During jury selection in the first case to go to trial, the judge ruled that the plaintiff failed to prove that our client’s actions were causally connected to the fire and granted summary judgment.
