Paul R. Smith, a partner in the Minneapolis office of Foley & Mansfield PLLP, along with Minneapolis associate Lauris A. Heyerdahl, recently won a defense verdict in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania for their client, a roofing equipment manufacturer. The plaintiff sought $3M in damages for injuries resulting from a pipe explosion. The case went to the jury on issues of product identification and adequacy of the product warnings. The jury held in favor of the manufacturer.
