Named a Best Lawyer in the Bay Area
San
Francisco, CA (January 4. 2006)—Stephen J. Foley, a Foley & Mansfield founding
partner and managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco office has been named a
Best Lawyer by Bay Area Lawyer Magazine. Foley was recognized as one of only 12
lawyers in the area of product liability. This is the first Best Lawyers list
compiled by Bay Area Lawyer Magazine, a publication of Renaissance Publications.
Attorneys were nominated by a minimum of five peers outside their own law firms,
and reviewed and selected by an advisory board from the magazine.
With
more than 20 years of litigation experience, Foley focuses his practice on
product liability litigation, including toxic torts, as well as commercial
litigation. He has tried cases in California, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota,
New York, South Dakota, Texas, West Virginia and Wisconsin, and handled
litigation in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, North
Dakota and Tennessee. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the
Northern California Association of Defense Counsel, the Minnesota Defense
Lawyers Association, as well as the California, Minnesota, and Wisconsin Bars.
He received his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 1984.
