Maron Marvel Bradley & Anderson in Jersey City, NJ, successfully defended
Georgia Pacific Corp in a trial in Miami-Dade County, Florida that ended on
December 5, 2007. The case involved a living 72 year old woman who was diagnosed
with pleural mesothelioma. She and her husband are retired school teachers,
having taught for 30 years in rural Ohio. Joyce Windnagle claimed exposure to
asbestos-containing joint compound in 1968 and 1970 during home renovations.

Resolution by Mississippi Supreme Court Acknowledges Foley & Mansfield
for Assistance to Lawyers in the Aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
The Supreme Court of Mississippi
acknowledged the generosity of the Minnesota State Bar Association and
the law firm of Foley & Mansfield, PLLP in a unanimous Resolution on
June 20, 2006. In August of 2005, the staff & partners of Foley &
Mansfield contributed $100,000 to assist Mississippi lawyers in coping
with the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. Foley & Mansfield also

Jury Rules in
Favor of Kelly-Moore Paint Company
- A jury in the Los Angeles County Superior Court ruled Wednesday, June 16, in favor of Kelly-Moore Paint Company in an asbestos-exposure lung cancer claim brought by Ernesto and Maria Escamilla. The jury found that Kelly-Moore’s joint-compound produced in 1960-1978 was not defective, and that Kelly-Moore did not “fail to warn” and was not negligent.
